My favorite place

This is an approach to the old Buddhist temple existing from 12th century. This place is surrounded by cedar grove and has an appearance which is mysterious and profound.

However, this place turns into a gorgeous atmosphere only in the season when the flowering of hydrangea.

This is the one of my favorite places.

I visit there from time to time and take pictures. Some of pictures have been uploaded in my photostream since I started flickr in 2009. Among those pictures, this is the best, I think.

The white hydrangea which blooms in a park

I could hear the lovely voice of a little girl who was in high spirits. She was speaking something in her father's arms. It was a heartwarming scene for me.

It is a famous place as the Buddhist temple where hydrangeas bloom a lot.
So, many photographers take pictures here and I have also uploaded several pictures taken in this place in the past.
This old Buddhist temple, called Daichu-ji and founded in 1489, is located at the foot of Mt. Oh-hira. There is another spot famous for hydrangea called "Ajisai saka" on the foot of also Mt. Oh-hira. The Ajisai-saka means Hydrangea slope in which over 2,500 of the flowers can be seen in June.

The Japan Meteorological Agency officially announced yesterday that the rainy season started ten days earlier than usual here in Kanto region.

Flowers of hydrangea become more and more beautiful day by day, because, hydrangea is typical flower in the rainy season here.

The gloomy weather has been continued over past few days because of the rainy season now. But the hydrangea is most beautiful in the rainy season.
