The name of this plant isn't lovely, but flowers are quite pretty.

The image above shows berries of Mock Strawberry in my garden.
In Japanese, we call it "Yabu Hebi-Ichigo" that means "Tussock Snake Strawberry" in terms of literal translation, because, it is traditionally said that snake eats this berry.
But, actually snake never eats such berry.
The Mock Strawberry blooms small yellow flower as shown in the image below.

I found at a stroll around the park in my neighbourhood, the Field Horsetails were sprouting up on the ground.
The sprout of Field Horsetail is called TSUKUSHI in Japanese and it gives a poetic touch to the early spring in Japan. People love it as a sign of spring.
