I returned flickr for the first time in mostly a month

Roses were in bloom in my garden to see the first time in a month. I've just returned home from hospitalization by tibia fracture. I'm still in rehabilitation, and a stick is needed for a walk.
I got my tibia broken when I played football game with my 10-year-old grandson and his friends a month ago.
My wife pointed me out at that time "It's something that an old man shouldn't do".

rainy season is over???

Meteorological Agency of Japan announced that rainy season of this year seems to be over. If so, it is earlier for mostly half month than usual.
When I took this picture, it was so beautiful clear sky as shown in the image above!!
But, it was very warm and high humidity today. When I took this picture in Koga(古河), climate condition was 92 °F with 75 per cent of humidity. So, I had to leave off photography earlier than usual not to suffer from heat stroke.

a moth on leaves of Japanese pepper

There is a spiny shrub called Japanese Pepper in my garden. This is an aromatic plant which gives very refreshing smell when we rub or crumple up leaves. In addition, we use berries of this plant widely in Japanese cooking. Mixed with berries of Japanese pepper and dried whitebaits is my favorite side dish that is to be topping on a bowl of rice.

focusing on a centrepiece

According to WIKIPEDIA, name of "Rose of Sharon" is commonly used to two different plant both Hypericum calycinum and Hibiscus syriacus. It is said that a flower in the image above is included in Rose of Sharon in the UK and Australia.
For example, BBC Plant Finder introduces Rose Sharon as common name for the Genus of Hypericum.

on the approch to an old Buddhist temple in a mountain

It is a famous place as the Buddhist temple where hydrangeas bloom a lot.
So, many photographers take pictures here and I have also uploaded several pictures taken in this place in the past.
This old Buddhist temple, called Daichu-ji and founded in 1489, is located at the foot of Mt. Oh-hira. There is another spot famous for hydrangea called "Ajisai saka" on the foot of also Mt. Oh-hira. The Ajisai-saka means Hydrangea slope in which over 2,500 of the flowers can be seen in June.

a small visitor that perched on potted lavender in my yard

A small visitor will probably be Pale Grass Blue, but it does not matter for me what name of that butterfly is.
Most important for me that is to take a picture like this, and that is to be my most precious time.

on one sunny day in the rainy season.

Just after completion of rice planting work, paddy fields look beautiful with fresh and bright green.

A local railway in the photo above is the Mito Line of JR (Japan Rail) East which connects Oyama station and Tomobe station. Distance between two terminals will be approximately 31 miles with 16 stations and the journey takes approximately one hour.
