Japanese Beautyberry

Japanese Beautyberry, originally uploaded by photoholic image.
The plant shown in above is a kind of shrub trees which is native to Japan. It is called "Murasaki-Shikibu" in Japanese.
The name of "Murasaki-Skikibu" comes from the name of a famous Japanese female novelist who wrote the "Tale of Genji" in the early 11th Century. It is said that this story is the world's first novel or first modern novel.
By the way, the Muraski means purple color.

Have a Happy Friday.
